SquirlRuler's Monster Hunter Rise Trophy Guide
Welcome to another Huge RNG grind for those crowns!
There are two ways of going about this:
- Blast through the game to get to the end of Sunbreak, then use OP gear to clear everything skipped. This will make the previously skipped missions a breeze.
- Clear each rank as you unlock it. This will be more difficult but potentially more fun.
Crowns are now available through the main hub quests, meaning no more farming for investigations.
Either way you go, there are no missable trophies, so you can tackle the content any way you want. I definitely recommend breaking up the crown farming with other activities.

There are 14 different weapons that each play differently. You should go to the training area once you unlock it to test out all the weapons to see which fits your play style the best. You don't have to choose just one weapon and stick with that forever, you can switch between as much as you want. This might be something you want to consider doing for late game, as you will want to have a gear set specific to that weapon. Doing so while going through the game may prove tedious if you have to farm monsters over and over for mats for your different sets.
Don't hold back on using vouchers for meals. You can buy 99 raw meat from the Argosy, then cook them at the diner, and you will get about 45 vouchers. They are basically free.
Things to do between missions
- Check for the lottery at the merchant. There are items you need to collect and they are random so it's best to start early. (
Sturdy Padlock 
Solid Padlock ) - Check the Cohoot Nest in Elgado. They can give you Eurekacorns which you need to fully unlock 10 buddies memory slots (30 total Polychrome Acorn)
- Check Argosy for items
- Check Buddy Trainer for Buddy Missions (Good Luck Charm )
- Check with Pingarh the Sailor (Elgado) for free rewards (Need 20 for Unbreakable Bag)
This trophy is earned by completing all the base game trophies.
Complete the first quest you are given, "Back to Basics".
This is a story mission, you will be tasked with an Urgent quest to unlock Hunter Rank 5, "Comeuppance". This quest is part of the "Village" quests.
This is a rampage mission that ends with a new type of monster, an "Apex". These are stronger versions of their base counterparts. The Hub quest is called "The Blue Apex" and upon completing will unlock High Rank (HR) and the rest of the 4-star missions. The final monster is an Apex Arzuros.
After completing 3 of the 5 6* Hub quests, an Urgent Quest, "Serpent God of Wind" will unlock. This is a rampage quest that will end with Ibushi.
After completing 5 7* Hub quests, an Urgent Quest, "Serpent Goddess of Thunder" will unlock. This is a special arena quest to fight Narwa, that will allow you to use mountable weapons. Use these to help deal extra damage.
Complete all the Low Rank Hub quests. Use the ✅️checklist guide to keep track and see how to unlock every quest!
Complete 50 Rampage quests to earn this. You can check how many you have in your Guild Card, on page 2.
I would wait to do this until you have all your Apex Crowns. Then, if you are missing any 10-kill scrolls for them, you can do rampages for that Apex, since killing the final monster counts as a kill in a rampage. Once you have all the kill scrolls, you can spam 2* rampages.
Complete 50 quests in the Shrine Ruins. This will most likely come naturally as you are grinding crowns.
Complete 50 quests in the Frost Islands. This will most likely come naturally as you are grinding crowns.
Complete 50 quests in the Flooded Forest. This will most likely come naturally as you are grinding crowns.
Complete 50 quests in the Sandy Plains. This will most likely come naturally as you are grinding crowns.
Complete 50 quests in the Lava Caverns. This will most likely come naturally as you are grinding crowns.
Two different things count towards this trophy. First, you have requests from villagers. These are things like collecting bones or small things like that. Make sure to talk to everyone who has a speech bubble to get all the requests. The second, and far easier, way is Optional Subquests. These are given from one of the quest giver girls. You can select up to 5 at a time. They are tasks like "Capture 1 HR Monster", "Collect 5 honey", or "Cut off 1 tail". These usually are tasks you are doing anyway during a quest, so completing them should come naturally. Make sure to talk to them before going to the bulletin board looking for MP quests.
This is a basic move that you learn how to do right at the beginning of the game. You will be using these to get around and fight, so you don't really need to farm these. It will come naturally.
This is for riding your Canyne for 10 hours. It does not have to be all at once. If you are using your puppers to run around, it should come naturally. Otherwise, you can just sit on your dog and afk and come back to it.
This is for getting all the Sub Camps in the first 5 areas. Use the ✅️Checklist guide to see where and how to unlock each one.
Hunting Helpers are little animals that do various effects. Picking up 2-3 every quest will get this trophy pretty quick. There is not really a need to go out of your way to pick them up, they are all over the map and can pick them up as you run by. Check the ✅️Checklist guide for all the different ones to keep an eye out for.
These are the little gold bugs that usually are around Spiribirds or they are in lines to indicate something is there. Collecting one every hunt, will get this be the end of your platinum journey. If you are missing it still, just go into an Exploration quest, gather all you can find easily, rinse and repeat.
These are for collecting all the relic messages in first 5 areas. Use the ✅️Checklist guide to find where they all are.
At the start of the game, you will have a BBQ item you can use to cook raw meat. You need to time the meat to be well done. The time to wait is 3 ¾ to just before 4 full turns. 4 full turns will turn it to burnt meat, and before 3 ¾ it will be a rare steak. Only well done counts. The timing can take a few tries to get down. Do this 30 times and you will earn this trophy.

The Rare Creatures only show up on specific maps and sometimes at specific times. Check the ✅️Checklist guide for more info.

This is cumulative, you don't need to hold it all at once. You will get this naturally as you play, since you get this as a quest reward.

You can hire buddies (Palicos and Palamutes) from Buddy Handler Iori in the Buddy Plaza for Karuma Village. In Elgado Outpost, talk to Nagi the Buddy Agent. Make sure to hire at least one of each different type of Palicos. There are 6.
Talking to Iori or Nagi, you can send your buddies on mission. Each mission has 5 quests. Each time you send your buddies out, it counts for 5 for this trophy count. So you only need to send to buddies out on 20 of these 5 quest missions to earn the trophy.
You need to craft 20 pieces of gear. You can create the same piece over and over again. You can't unlock this until you get the request to craft 20 pieces of gear. Follow Canyne Master Inukai's requests until you get this one, which is in HR7.
Craft 5 rarity 7 pieces of gear to unlock.
There are three skills for each weapon you need to unlock. The first is through a set of quests given to you by Master Utsushi. If you finish all of the HR 4*, 5*, 6* quests, you will have completed them. After that, you need to buy/forge 8 unique weapons per weapon type. Once you buy them, you will need to talk to Master Utsushi again, and he will unlock a second skill. The last one is unlocked just through the story.
Throughout your questing, you will see Yomogi with a speech bubble. Make sure to talk to her whenever you can to unlock all her quests. Do the following activities to achieve this trophy.

This will probably be one of the last trophies you earn. Luckily, if you have Sunbreak, MR monsters count for this, so when you are farming for the 1000 MR monsters[VERIFY], this will pop as well. Make sure to crown hunt in MR to achieve both trophies.
This one is straight forward. I would recommend hunting in a MR expedition, since then it will count towards your 1000 kills trophies.
You need to mount 100 monsters for this trophy. This should come naturally as you play, since you can mount non-target monsters and inflict a lot of damage to monsters you need to hunt. You can use mount target monsters and run them into walls for a bunch of damage too. As you use your wirebug on the monsters, there is a hidden meter that fills and once full you will be given the option to mount. The other way is when two monsters cross paths and usually one will get into the mountable phase.
Complete the 6* Village Quest Advanced: The Veterans' Gala. To Unlock, complete the 7* Hub Quest Serpent Goddess of Thunder.
Follow your quest progress with the ✅️Checklist guide
You need to craft 5 layered armors. You must reach Hunter Rank 8. To craft them, go to the smithy and go through the menu:
Force/Upgrade Armor → Force Layered Armor
Make sure you are in Low/High Rank and craft 5 of them.
There is a Cohoot at the top of Elgado. To get there, starting in front of Chichae, wirebug up to a platform (shown below). From there, turn to the left a little bit and you can wirebug up again. Run around the path to the top to find a Cohoot in a nest. Interact with it 15 times to get the trophy. You have to do them in between missions, you can't do 15 in a row.
Complete all the follower quests to earn this. Use the ✅️Checklist guide to keep track of your progress.
You get this from completing most of the Support Survey quests, given by the quest giver. There are 6 that I don't believe you have to do, the quests with the monsters that you don't have to collect crowns for (IE Gold Rathian. I didn't complete one of these and still got the trophy, so I don't believe you have to complete any of them). Use the ✅️Checklist guide to check your progress and see the quests that you don't have to complete.

You need to craft 5 layered armors. To do this, go to the smithy and go through this menu:
Force/Upgrade Armor → Force Layered Armor
Make sure you are in Master Rank and craft 5 pieces of Rarity 10 armor.
Reach Level 50 Anomaly research.
Complete a level 100 Anomaly quest.
