Poison Control is a quirky, stylish third-person action game with a distinct anime aesthetic and a charmingly bizarre premise. It blends shooter mechanics with light RPG elements and a visual novel-style narrative, making for a unique experience that doesn't quite hit every mark but still manages to be enjoyable in its own right.

One major caveat: there's no auto-save. I learned this the hard way after a crash caused me to lose all my progress and start the game over from scratch. Save frequently-you'll thank yourself later.

As for gameplay, the third-person shooting mechanics feel off, with imprecise aiming that can make combat feel clunky at times. That said, some bosses can be easily cheesed with the right strategy or positioning, which takes away some of the challenge but may be a welcome break for more casual players.

Despite its mechanical flaws, Poison Control has a cute and fun atmosphere. The writing leans heavily into its eccentric tone, and the game's art direction is colorful and distinct. If you're into offbeat titles with personality and don't mind a bit of jank, this one's worth a look-just don't forget to hit that save button often.
