The Walking Dead: The Final Season

The final TellTale game for The Walking Dead. Here, we finish the story of Clementine. This game actually had a bit more work for the platinum, you have to find collectibles and make certain choices. The other games were all "reach this checkpoint". The story was pretty standard for TellTale. Overall, a decent game. Worth a play through, especially if you have played the other games in the series.

Telltale's The Walking Dead: Season One - A Masterpiece of Storytelling

The Walking Dead: Season One is not just a game; it's an unforgettable journey. The story is nothing short of remarkable, weaving together themes of survival, humanity, and heartbreak with masterful precision. My only regret is that I can only experience it for the first time once, but that first playthrough will forever remain etched in my memory.

The voice cast delivers an exceptional performance, bringing every character to life with raw emotion and authenticity. Their work elevates the already brilliant writing, making each interaction and choice feel deeply personal. The connection I felt to the characters-especially Lee and Clementine-was unparalleled.

This game is a testament to the power of storytelling in gaming. It's not just about surviving the apocalypse; it's about the relationships you forge and the difficult choices you face along the way. The Walking Dead: Season One is a beautiful, emotional, and unforgettable experience that will stay with me forever.

I love me a good zombie apocalypse and The Walking Dead Universe is a great one. I enjoy the show and I enjoyed this entrance to the TellTale story. This starts at the beginning of the outbreak and follows a man and a child he finds. Although the choices you make don't really have an impact on the overall story, they do change little details which is nice to see. I would have liked bigger story changes but understand that makes the workload of these kinds of games so much more. It's a fun little story through TWD world.

I grew up playing the original Final Fantasy on the NES back in the 80s. It's the first game that really got me into gaming, so it's hard to make an unbiased review. I have so much nostalgia for it. To me playing this game is like Mom's home cooking. It's good regardless of it's flaws.

Does it have a convoluted story? Yes. Is it obtuse in certain areas if you haven't played it before and don't have a guide? Yes. Is the encounter rate WAY to high? Yes, for sure. But I've played this game about 7-8 times now and I have a good time every time I pick it up. Thankfully, the pixel remaster adds a lot of quality of life features that improves the experience over earlier versions including: autosaves between dungeon floors, customizable experience and money boosts and the ability to turn off random encounters.

If you haven't played it, give it a go. Its a fun time and a nice 15 hour platinum.

A fun Metroidvania in a retro futuristic style inspired by a 1970s aesthetic. It's a game that's irreverent and slightly absurd. But I wish they leaned into the absurdity a bit more. It seems to me like they dipped their toe into it and played it safe most of the game. Perhaps Headlander is a little simplistic, but the gameplay is good and it doesn't overstay it's welcome. The platinum takes between 8-15 hours depending on your playstyle. There is only one missable trophy (male driver) that can be achieved 10-15 minutes into a new playthrough, so a blind playthrough is encouraged. The map is easy to navigate and trophy clean up is fairly easy with careful observation. Unlike other metroidvanias nothing is particularly well hidden.

I would definitely recommend this game. I had a lot of fun with it and if you are looking for a short easy trophy hunting experience you can't go wrong here. Maybe sooner than later as this game, like many Adult Swim games, may be on the chopping block for delisting in the near future.
